Inflammation and the Acidic Body
Acidity in the tissue is the main cause of inflammation, Inflammation is the underlying cause of dis-ease. Aching muscles, painful joints, stomach upset, problems in the bathroom, sleeping issues, Chronic fatigue (which means you're extremely tired), head aches, sinus problems, hormonal issues, premature aging, auto immune and diseases that are even worse. When the body is in an alkaline state, you are less likely to suffer from chronic disease and illness. The most important thing to do is take action before your body begins to show symptoms.
"If the human body is balanced in pH and nutrients, it is not susceptible to disease." ~Royal Rife
Unfortunately in today's world of fast everything, we do not take time to prepare our meals. The other concern is the way our food is being grown. Lazy growers are using pesticides, herbicides and even worse, GMO seed. If we are not using organically grown food and preparing at least 80% of it ourselves, we are setting the stage for an acidic, inflamed body and yes, stress leads to inflammation. So can chemicals from our external world, such as laundry soap, fabric softeners, shampoo and conditioner, dishwashing and hand soap, cleaning products, industrial chemicals, chem trails, air pollution and other chemical pollutants.
CHEMICAL TESTING: At Island Healthworks we can do a scan for you that will show the level of herbicides, pesticides and GMO/ Glyphosates that are lingering in your body. We will also teach you and give information on how to clean it out and neutralize your body.To get to the bottom of this, call 250-468-7685 to set up an appointment in Parksville, Victoria or Langley. For others that are unable to see me in person, I will do phone consultations.
So what can we do to prevent it from being so bad?
Get rid of all the chemicals in your home. Start with buying natural cleaning supplies. Dry baking soda is my favorite for stubborn stains, tubs and sinks. Switch to natural shampoo, conditioner and soaps. Air filters help if you live in a city close to a busy road. Most of all eat organically grown foods.
I go by the 80/20 rule: 80% alkaline and 20% acid forming foods. Avoid processed packaged foods, alcohol, coffee and animal products as much as possible. The amount of animal products in a day would be no larger than the size of the back of your fist. If you must have coffee try to limit your intake to 1 or 2 cups of organic dark roast per day. If you have a lot of stress, over active bowels or high blood pressure, you may consider cutting it out completely. Drink half your body weight (Lbs) in ounces of clean water per day and most of all eat alkaline foods.
Alkaline food is organic fruits and vegetables. If you are not eating organic non-pesticide, herbicide, GMO fruit and vegetables, you are not eating alkaline! As I mentioned above, chemicals are acid.

Tonic herbs balance the meridians as well as nourish the adrenal glands, major managers of energy powering the "electric" human body. From deep in the rain forests of Peru comes a truly remarkable herb known as Cat's Claw, or Uña de Gato in Spanish. It has been used by the Peruvian natives for centuries in a variety of applications. Cat's Claw, according to many herbalists, maybe one of the Amazon's most impressive traditional healing plants. While Cat's Claw is the key ingredient in this formula, NSP has combined it with the traditional Asian tonic herb astragalus and the Native American herb echinacea, to create an all-herbal immune supplement from classic traditional medicine ingredients.
- Used in herbal medicine to support the immune system
